The iconic American brand originally known for its classic 1950s diner aesthetic has evolved with a new 2.0 prototype that reimagines the experience as a contemporary better-burger joint.
The refreshed design features warm wood planking and white brick veneer, industrial glass globe pendant lighting, flexible moveable furniture, and generous communal tables that easily accommodate groups of all sizes. A freestanding Coke machine adds a playful touch, while tabletop jukeboxes have been removed in favour of a curated contemporary soundtrack.
Culinary-inspired wall graphics such as “BON APPETIT” and “HAND-CRAFTED BURGERS” reinforce the modern, approachable vibe.
“It’s a diner experience in a modern, contemporary setting,” says Charles Bruce, President and CEO of Johnny Rockets Group Inc. “What we needed was an environment and a setting that people felt was more contemporary, and to compete with all the other modern burger concepts out there. Every brand goes through an evolution to stay relevant. We’re no different.”
