Zandro is a Senior Interior Designer with over 25 years of professional design experience. He is a graduate of Technological Institute of the Philippines and holds a BSc in Architecture and a Certificate in Urban Design from Simon Frasier University. Zandro oversees project scheduling, team management and design at HDI. His expertise lies in balancing the continuous demand for creative design solutions, with the challenging realities imposed by time, budget and corporate objectives and identities.

Zandro travels every chance he gets, and never leaves home without his sketchbook. He is responsible for other team members having songs from The Beatles and Star Wars stuck in their heads, and he doesn't feel the slightest bit guilty about it. 

Karl is a Partner & Senior Interior Designer at Hager Design International Inc who has over 22 years design experience.  He is a graduate of Algonquin College in Ottawa and has a Diploma of Interior Design where he is also a 2010 inductee of the college’s Hall of Fame for the School of Media and Design: Interior Design.  

Karl’s background is in hospitality which included partnership in a restaurant formerly located in Whistler, BC, Canada. Karl has his NCIDQ qualification and is registered with the Interior Designers of Canada and the Interior Designer Institute of BC.  He has also worked in Toronto and Bermuda as an Interior Designer.

​When he isn't leading our restaurant division, Karl will most likely be watching soccer, playing tennis or playing beach volleyball with his family or taking photos. His passion for fine wines is equal to that of his passion for building code (no, not serious!!).

Janine has a passion for the creative arts and math. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts from UBC and furthered her education at Ryerson Polytechnic University, where she earned her Interior Design Degree.  Part of the Hager team for over 10 years, she has worked on large-scale hotel and senior living projects, honing her creative and detail–oriented design skills.  As a designer function is always foremost in her mind. She brings a wholistic approach to all her projects working closely with our clients to ensure a project functions beautifully, is aesthetically fantastic  and cohesive, while meeting the budget requirements.

Karen brings over 25 years of extensive experience to HDI, most recently as a principal in her own design firm for over 15 years.  She prioritizes building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and stakeholders. Through personalized engagement strategies and attentive client service, Karen fosters trust and loyalty, resulting in enhanced client satisfaction.

Through effective communication across diverse stakeholder groups, from C-suite executives to frontline staff, Karen brings exceptional negotiation skills and a diplomatic approach. She navigates complex business negotiations and design variations to achieve win-win outcomes.
