INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER  POSTED JUNE 26, 2021

Job description:

You know Revit but you want to become exceptional at this program.  You like to think about how a great space functions and flows.   You are ready for the next stage in your design career as an Intermediate Interior Designer?

Your 3-4 years plus of experience in restaurant and/or retail design has allowed you to become quite adept in the creative, functional and the technical aspects of design. You have a great understanding of space planning and flow.  You love to put your Revit skills to use and see the space come to life.

You know how to dance between competing needs and can jump from project to project as will be needed in our restaurant/ QSR roll-out division. You have experience doing a full set of working drawings from plans to details in Revit.  You have some experience applying building code and barrier-free requirements in Canada, and/or are willing to learn code. You have a good understanding of Revit families, workflow, and project processes.  You are interested in the construction and permitting process of design and want to learn more about these aspects.

If your background is strictly as CAD/Revit technician but you like to think about the function of a space and work through the design process, this may be the perfect position for you.  This position does not suit someone who is looking to be told where to place the blocks/families.  It’s about understanding why and how the space operates and applying that process from one space to the next.

You are looking to learn and grow as a designer/technician and become very proficient at Revit. Under the direction of our BIM coordinator, he will take you to the next level with what this program can do.  Learning Revit excites you as it is the program of the future!

One-on-one client experiences an asset, but not a must. However, you understand the importance of providing excellent customer service and ensuring deliverables are consistent and completed in a timely manner.

People love working with you, and you love working with a team.   You listen well and take direction well, but also bring your creative and problem-solving skills to the design table.

If you are looking for a place where you can continue to learn and grow, we want to hear from you. Please send us your detailed resume to info@hagerinc.com, along with a cover letter that describes what part of the design process you love best.

We are excited to hear from you!
